How to choose the perfect natural stone pot for your garden
From size to stone type: everything you need to know to choose the right pot for your garden and taste.

A stone pot is not an impulse purchase. It is a choice that shapes your garden for years to come. But how do you know which pot suits you? We explain the most important criteria.
Size: think bigger than you think
The most common mistake when choosing a pot is going too small. In the showroom a pot looks large, but once it is in the garden it disappears. A rule of thumb: always go one size larger than your first instinct.
Also consider the plant that will go in it. Trees and large ornamental grasses need a deep pot. For succulents or summer flowers you can go shallower.
Stone type and origin
Not every stone pot is equal. We work exclusively with pots made from natural stone, primarily slate, sandstone and granite from Southeast Asia. These stone types are naturally weather-resistant and grow more beautiful with age.
Watch out for composite pots that look like stone but are made from polyresin. These do not last as long and lose their appeal over time.
Colour and style
Grey and black are timeless, but dark pots absorb heat and can become very hot in full sun. This can be harmful to roots. Lighter tones, such as our yellow-beige sandstone pots, stay cooler and suit a Mediterranean or rural garden design perfectly.
