What makes a pot 'authentic'? Our sourcing process explained
We only select pots that are handmade and have a unique character. Here is how we work.

The word 'authentic' is used a lot in the world of decoration, and too often misused. We use it with a clear definition: an authentic pot is handmade, from real material, and bears the marks of its own history.
What we do buy
Pots where you can see the hand of the maker: irregular rims, small variations in thickness, a surface that is cast rather than sprayed. Pots with a patina, aged by use, weather or simply the passage of time.
We also buy pots that are not perfect. A slight lean, a faded pattern. These are described honestly as such and are often the most unique pieces in our range.
What we do not buy
Reproduction pots made from cement or polyresin that look like stone but are not. Factory-made 'antique-looking' pots that have been artificially aged. Pots whose origin is unclear or where we have doubts about the sourcing conditions.
Our selection process is slow and personal. That is precisely why our range is limited, and why every pot you buy from us is truly one of a kind.
